Dear Pastor, Church, & All Supporters:

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

The above verse may have different meanings to different people, I have a message, titled “What is your Price”.  I know some who will proclaim Bible Truth long and loud, as long as they are within (company) however, my point is what will your price be, (in the swelling of Jordon)?

This month, I have been locked up in the Bible Academy five days a week, minimum of five and maximum of eight hours per day.  I have to translate the lessons, type out, print and make copies for the two classes of PNG.  I do have another man (within our work) his name is Homage, he is by profession a primary school teacher, however he has offered himself to attend the bible academy to learn GOD’S Word.  His answer is, if the government cannot allow him leave, then he will resign his post and offer himself to assist in the teaching of this school.  I teach Standard two class from 07:30 am to 1:30 pm, and Homage picks up with Standard One and carries through to 5:30 pm.  He sits in the Standard One class, as he has already completed Standard One.

I am teaching through the Doctrine of the N.T. church, I am reminded over and over again as I study and present the Syllabus, there are many of our kind of Baptist, who say they believe in the (Ekklesia) which, Christ set up and established, however a close examination of (practice) will tell a different story with some.

I am combatting 28 years of (tribal custom, Catholicism, and some Bible) all mixed together, which, simply means (error).  Mt.15:8-9 Is not only applicable in Jesus’ day, but our day also.

Every two weeks the students sit for examinations, there is no prepared script, or lesson material, I must formulate the questions based upon their level and lessons taught.  Many of them have never had formal education, the language I teach in is a simple language without many biblical words, of which, a thought, principle and idea must be formulated.

Update on the new vehicle, it has been paid in full, the relevant fabrication I requested (window protection – heavy mesh wire with frames) to cover the windows, and front windscreen.  The fabrication has not been completed, I am in communications with the workshop in Townsville, AU and expressed the need to expedite this process as I am without a vehicle.  I walk most everywhere I go, except it be longer than ten miles one way then I will take public transport, however, this too is not reliable nor safe at times.

I do grocery shopping once a week, usually on a Saturday, I have one of the pastors who lives in town to buy me some fresh fruit and bring up daily as he comes to the class.  I don’t have a large fridge, (Hotel size) so space is limited.

I have the Bible School in Malawi active, I send lessons to Edwin and Eric, they both are engaged in teaching the students there.   I have been told that they had ten students, but two have left for various reasons.  The school there will continue until August end, which, the farming season, tilling the ground for their planting starts in September, they burn off the fields, and slowly hand-till up the soil for planting.  Normally the rains do not come until mid-November (IF) the LORD bless with rain.

The country (Malawi) is reporting of famine, for the past two and three years, the rainfall has been at best sporadic.  GOD’S people, (the stealing, thieving of Tithes, and Offerings) (Mal.3:7-10)

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Where does this leave our own country, and other countries (PNG) number two in hard crime (in the world)!!

Pray for the school, the students, and my workload, GOD’s grace is sufficient, His mercies are new every day, and His love is everlasting.

I want to thank each of you for your continued support, the prayers, and encouragement you send my way.  I could not do what I do without your participation in this great work.

In His Name,

Missionary Peter Halliman
